Beautiful Day, Wonderful Companion

Today's weather is simply perfection.  Alex had (perhaps his last) grooming appointment at 4:30 so we went for a little walk outside before she arrived.  I took the time to enjoy and savor every minute of it, not knowing if this will be our last walk together or not.  I watched as he relished in the outdoors and then I carried him up the steepest part of the hill back to the house.  This little dog will be 15 next month and he has been such a dear companion.  I'm thankful for the beautiful day and him feeling well enough to walk a while.  Thankful for the little things.
